We have an entire universe of values, but some of them are so primary, so important to us that regardless of the changes in society, government, politics, church and technology they are STILL the core values by which we will abide. In an ever-changing world, core values are constant. Core values are not descriptions of the mission we do or the strategies we employ to accomplish our mission. The values underlie our mission. We present these eleven core values to help you better understand New Hope Church In these eleven statements you will discover the values which touch our hearts, stir our emotions, and move us to action!

We value GOD
God our Creator, Redeemer, Savior, and Sustainer is at the very core of all there is or ever will be. Our primary value is to know God and make Him known. We value God through our worship and adoration both individually and corporately; through our daily obedience to His Word; through our passionate pursuit and surrender to His will for our lives; through prayer and thanksgiving to Him who is able to do far above what we could ever ask or think. - [Gen. 1:1; Mark 12:30; Ps. 95:1-7]

We value The BIBLE
The Bible is the Word of God. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It is the source of eternal truth upon which we build our lives and mission. We embrace the bibles authority to direct all the decisions of life. We strive to live daily according to the teachings and principles contained in the bible. - [2 Tim.3:16]

We value COMMUNITY
We believe that life is done best when experienced together.  From the founding of the church in the book of Acts followers of Jesus lived life together learning, growing, celebrating, and spending time with one another building a community of faith. We believe that we were created to live deeply with one another, to carry each other’s burdens and share our possessions; to pray for and confess our sins to each other; to suffer and celebrate together. It’s in these sacred relationships that we are transformed. Sharing life together in committed relationships is an integral part of what it means to be a Christian. - [Acts 2:42-47, Heb.10:25]

We value LOVE
Our motivation for serving God and others is love. We love because He loved us first. We don’t serve out of guilt or obligation. Love drives us to passionately serve God and others. Love always wins! - [Mark 12:30-31; 1 Cor. 13; 1 John 4:7-12]

We value ACCEPTANCE
We realize that everyone is at a different place in their spiritual journey. God has not called us to judge others, but rather to accept them and welcome them. We understand that God uses “flawed and broken” people who are in the process of “being saved.” We will therefore honor every member of our community of faith, being patient with them as they grow toward maturity. We will embrace and value their uniqueness and encourage their usefulness. - [Matt.9:10-13; 1 Cor. 12:12-27; Eph. 4:2]

We value RELEVANCE
We will strive to always be relevant by using what is cultural to communicate the timeless truths of God’s word. Jesus was relevant to society and to His hearers. We, as a community of faith, must fight to be relevant to those we are trying to reach. What we communicate is constant; the way we communicate it must change with the each new generation. - [Acts 17:23; 1 Cor. 9:19-23]

We value OUTREACH
We are passionate about reaching people through relationships. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation inviting us to be a part of bringing people into His family. We have been given the mandate for missions to evangelize the lost by proclaiming the good news of salvation. We believe this is best done through building relationships with the un-churched. Christ made it very clear to us that outreach is a priority and a privilege. New Hope Church looks for every opportunity to get involved and bring the light of the gospel to everyone in our community. - [Luke 14:23, Mark 16:15; 2 Cor. 5:17-21; 2 Tim. 4:-5; 1 Pet. 3:15]

We value TRANSFORMATION
God is not just interest in our conversion, but in our transformation as well. As we are connected in a community of believers, submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the gifts He gives to help believers grow in spiritual maturity, our lives will be transformed. This process of transformation is called becoming a disciple of Jesus. A disciple is an authentic follower of Jesus committed to doing His will with all they are and all they possess. We believe this is best done in small group covenant relationships. - [Matt 28:19; Eph. 4:11-16; Heb. 6:1]

We value SERVING
God deliberately shaped and formed you to serve Him in a way that makes your ministry unique. God expects every believer to get involved in ministry because we were saved “for good works which God prepared for us to do. Therefore every believer is a minister and should seek to find and area to serve.  As we serve others God builds the local church and all who give themselves in serving. - [Eph. 2:10; Gal. 5:13]

We value THE NEXT GENERATION
We understand that the children and youth are the future leaders of our church and community. It is our duty to invest into their lives the eternal truths of God’s word; to live it out in our lives as an example to them; and to encourage their spiritual growth and development. We will do all we can within our ability to prepare them for their role as future leaders. - [Deut. 6:4-7]

We value GLOBAL MISSIONS
Jesus gave the church one mandate… to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to everyone and make disciples of all nations. Every believer has a role to play in fulfilling the Great Commission. We must give ourselves to this great cause. [John 3:16; Matt.28:19; Mark 16:15; 1 Tim. 2:4; Rom. 10:13-15]
